ACORN SCHOLARSHIP FUND RELEASES ANNUAL REPORT
On December 7, 2024, Larry Potter, President of the Fund, announced the release of the 2024 Annual Report. A copy of the report was distributed to each member of the Cypress. A copy can also be downloaded here. The report contains a summary of the Fund's accomplishments in fiscal year 2024 and its financial statements.
ACORN SCHOLARSHIP FUND CREATES ENDOWMENT
In October, 2024, the Acorn Scholarship Fund established an endowment with money received from the Fay and Nadine Tolman estate. The endowment ensures that the fund can grant scholarships to Associate and enables the Fund to expand the number of eligible applicants. The Fund's Investment Committee directs the investment of the endowment fund. Donors may direct future donations to the endowment.
PRN ASSOCIATES ARE NOW ELIGIBLE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
In September, 2024, the Board of the Acorn Scholarship Fund approved PRN Associates for scholarships. PRN Associates are scheduled to work on an as-needed basis. Many PRN Associates work in Home Health. Prior to September, 2024, eligible recipients included full-time and part-time Associates. Now, PRN Associates represent a third category of eligibility.
SCHOLARSHIP CELEBRATION
On July 28, 2024, more than 200 people gathered in the Clubhouse to celebrate our newest scholarship recipients. It was also a time to thank the many members who donated to the Fund, making scholarship awards possible. Thanks were also given to the ASF Board and the many committee members who do the work needed to make this Fund possible.

ACORN SCHOLARSHIP FUND AWARDS 27 SCHOLARSHIPS to NEW and RENEWING RECIPIENTS
On July 11, 2024, the Acorn Scholarship Fund approved 27 scholarships. Thirteen of the recipients are receiving a scholarship for the first time. The remaining 14 scholarships were awarded to recipients who are continuing their education and received a scholarship previously either in the Spring or Fall of 2023. Each scholarship is for one semester. Those individuals attending a community college received a $1000 scholarship. Individuals attending a four year university or school received up to $3000.
