What Grants Are Available?The Acorn Scholarship Fund offers these scholarships and grants to Associates of the club:
Amounts of Scholarships
Scholarships will not be paid for more than the tuition and fees the recipient needs to pay to the educational institution. Applicants can apply for up to four terms per year. For example, an applicant attending a fall term, a spring term, and a summer term can apply for all three terms. Grants to individuals are limited to one-half of their per term scholarship. Associates who meet the eligibility requirements for hours worked listed above may apply for children or other dependents
Short term vocational programs accredited by a state agency or professional organization may also qualify for support. The ASF Board reserves the right to make exceptions to these guidelines for unusual circumstances. When to Make an Initial ApplicationAssociates may submit an application for a scholarship before they or their dependents are officially accepted into a course of study at an institution or program. However, to secure a scholarship, Associates or their dependents must be accepted into their programs.
Reapplying for ScholarshipsThe initial scholarship award is for one term. If they remain eligible and continue their programs, recipients are encouraged to reapply each term for continued support by submitting a scholarship payment form with their tuition bill. Recipients do not need to submit additional applications.
Grants to IndividualsScholarship recipients may apply for individual grants in addition to their scholarships. Individual grants can be used for educational expenses related to course work like:
