The ACORN SCHOLARSHIP FUND 
​provides financial support to qualified Associates (employees) of The Cypress of Raleigh as they work to achieve their educational and career goals.

Our Mission​​

The Acorn Scholarship Fund (ASF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded by members of the Cypress of Raleigh Club, Inc. (Club). ASF is supported by donations from members and others.  ASF offers scholarships to assist qualified applicants employed by the Club in their educational endeavors.

Scholarships are used to support post-secondary education or professional certification training costs incurred by qualified Associates of the Club.   Scholarship grants are offered to encourage Associates to increase capabilities and skills in their chosen fields.  

Specifically, scholarship grants may be awarded for programs that:

1. Further the Associates’ education, including undergraduate or graduate programs at universities and colleges, or​​
2. Provide additional knowledge and expertise in a chosen field or career path, including technical and vocational training.  ​

​Matching Fund from Cypress Partners

The Cypress Partners have helped launch this third season with another generous contribution of $12,500 given in the form of a matching donation.  Each donation of $1000 or less received from a Cypress Member will count towards the amount contributed by the Partners.  

​The Partners' donation was matched on March 28, 2025.

The Board has specified a target for donations in fiscal year 2025 of $180,000.  As of April 19, 2025,  donations are $138,193.  These amounts do not include the estate donation directed to the endowment.
