How to Apply
You can obtain a scholarship application form in one of two ways:
1. Print the scholarship application form available on this website: 2. Or, obtain a form from the Acorn Scholarship hanging file in the Associates break room at the Clubhouse or the Rosewood. Completing the form manually: 1. Complete the boxes on the form. If you need more space for an answer than is provided in the box, please use a separate sheet of blank paper to complete the answer. 2. Sign the form. Completing the form on your computer: 1. If it is not already installed on your computer, download Adobe Reader from https://get.adobe.com/reader/ (Some browsers will allow you to fill in the form on-line also.) 2. Double click on the downloaded file. 3. Follow the instructions to complete installation. 4. Open the application file in Adobe Reader. 5. Complete the boxes on the form. If you need more space for an answer, use a separate sheet of paper. 6. Select File -> Save from the menu at the top. (If Save is not available, you have not filled in all required fields on the form. Save a copy of the partially completed form by selecting Save As... and entering a file name.) 7. Print the form by selecting File -> Print... 8. Sign the form. |
Submitting the signed form:
1. Print the Application Checklist here. Follow steps on the checklist to complete the application process.
2. Provide a copy of your acceptance into a degree/certification program, if available.
3. Provide a copy of your FAFSA determination, if available.
3. Return the completed application to the Acorn Scholarship lock box located in the
members' mail room on the first floor of the Clubhouse.
